Concertino 

A heavily condensed and focused Violin concerto with an equally virtuosic Piano part. 

Duration: 5-6 min 

 

She loved being loved 

Five images from Camus' The Adulterous Woman. 

Written for Ensemble Offspring's Hatched academy. Performed at the Utzon room, within the Sydney Opera House.

Scored for Flutes, Clarinets, Saxophone, Vibraphone and Piano

Duration: 10 min

The Angels are Screaming 

A homage to the Mark-Anthony Turnage piece Three Screaming Popes. The work explores the temporality of a "scream" as found in the Turnage work. Scored for an Advanced Wind Symphony.

Five images based on images from Simone De Beavoir's essay Pyrrhus and Cineas

1,1,1,1  1,1,1,0  1  2,1,1,1 (sinfonietta) 

Premiered in July by the Sydney Symphony Fellows 

Duration: 10 min

All is consumed with love 

A setting of Judith Wright's poem To a child, exploring the images of nature and destruction through a maternal lens.

Soprano and string ensemble 3,3,2,2,1 (with individual parts). Commissioned by the Parliament of NSW for the celebration of their bicentenary.

Duration: 6 min

The uncontrollable mystery on the bestial floor 

Explores the act of displacement through W.B Yeats' poem The Magi.

Scored for: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet in Bb and Bass Clarinet, Piano, Percussion, Violin and Cello. Premiered in March by the Sydney Conservatorium's New Music Ensemble.

But here there is no light,

based on the poem Ode to a nightingale by Keats, this work explores our ability to perceive and acknowledge multiple layers of reality and existence. 

Cello and Piano. First performed in November.
